FIAT announced a problem with the SEDICI affecting a total of 1,479 vehicles.
It has been identified that the possibility exists that a disconnection of the handbrake cable may occur, which can result in the handbrake becoming inefficient. Vehicles built from 2/1/2006 to 12/31/2006 are at risk.
Recalled vehicles will have the fitment of the handbrake cable to the actuating lever checked. If found to be incorrect, the situation will be rectified. If the handbrake cable is found to be damaged it will be replaced.
If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should
find your nearest FIAT dealer
who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
