RENAULT announced a problem with the ESPACE affecting a total of 3,609 vehicles.
The electrical connections to the side air bags may be transposed. This could result in the air bag on the opposite side to an impact being deployed. Vehicles built from 10/01/1999 to 05/01/2000 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Check side air bag wiring for transposed connections and correct where necessary.

find your nearest RENAULT dealer
who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
