HYUNDAI EF SONATA Recall

Possible unintentional deployment of both side air bags

HYUNDAI announced a problem with the EF SONATA affecting a total of 404 vehicles.

If the doors of the vehicle are closed with force it may be possible for the side air bags to deploy inadvertently. Vehicles built from 09/19/2000 to 02/07/2002 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Fit new satellite sensors to both sides of the vehicle.

Vehicles with the following identification numbers are affected:

KMHWF35H01A243722 to KMHWF35H62A626086
