MITSUBISHI announced a problem with the GALANT VR4 affecting a total of 100 vehicles.
It is possible that due to improper welding of the levelling valve on the fuel tank, fuel may leak from this area. Vehicles built from 03/10/2000 to 08/10/2000 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Fit a new, improved, fuel tank.

find your nearest MITSUBISHI dealer
who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
