HYUNDAI announced a problem with the TUCSON (JM) affecting a total of 1,150 vehicles.
Certain vehicles were produced with improperly manufactured parking brake pawls. This may cause the parking brake lever not to engage when applying the lever. Vehicles built from 03/29/2005 to 05/20/2005 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the affected vehicles to have the pawls replaced with quality assured parts.
If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should
find your nearest HYUNDAI dealer
who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
