KIA SORENTO - DIESAL AUTO Recall

Snap ring retainer within the gearbox may detach
KIA SORENTO - DIESAL AUTO recall Nov 2004KIA announced a problem with the SORENTO - DIESAL AUTO affecting a total of 1,148 vehicles.

The snap ring which retains the reverse gear may break, which may result in poor power transfer. Should this occur, the vehicle may roll forward whilst in reverse gear. Vehicles built from 12/19/2003 to 04/22/2004 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall likely to be affected vehicles and fit a modified transmission unit.

If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should find your nearest KIA dealer who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
