DAF XF95 Recall

HOT engine exhaust gases may melt park brake hose

DAF announced a problem with the XF95 affecting a total of 75 vehicles.

The circuit 3 air pipe connected to the air reservoir is fitted too close to the engine exhaust. The hot gasses could melt the pipe and cause an air leak and the park brake to malfunction. Vehicles built from 09/01/2002 to 11/30/2002 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Fit a new quick release coupling assembly to relocate the hose.

Vehicles with the following identification numbers are affected:

E591970 to E598738

How to check your car's VIN number - vehicle identification number
