Interior fan wiring may chafe on dashboard support
FIAT announced a problem with the DUCATO affecting a total of 1,634 vehicles.
The interior fan wiring may chafe on a dashboard support. This could result in a short circuit and a fire in the fan unit. Vehicles built from 05/01/2001 to 04/30/2002 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Fit additional insulation and protection to the fan electrical wiring.
