CITROEN C4 Recall

Short circuit may occur/risk of fire

CITROEN C4 recall Nov 2005CITROEN announced a problem with the C4 affecting a total of 12,220 vehicles.

Repeated ingress of saline water into the connections to the Electronic Control Unit for the Anti- Lock Braking system may eventually result in a short circuit that could cause a fire in the engine compartment. Vehicles built from 01/01/2004 to 12/31/2005 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check the ABS block and strengthen the sealing of the electrical connections.

Vehicles with the following identification numbers are affected:

VF7******74144020 to VF7******74321169
