TOYOTA announced a problem with the Yaris affecting a total of 45,335 vehicles.
It has been identified that the possibility exists, that the sound insulator beneath the front seatbelt pretensioner may become damaged by the high temperature gas generated when the device is activated during a collision. In the worst case, should the insulator ignite, a post-collision fire may ensue. Vehicles built from 6/13/2005 to 4/9/2007 are at risk.
Recalled vehicles will have the sound insulator removed from beneath the centre body pillars.
If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should
