NISSAN QASHQAI Recall

Potential loss of steering

NISSAN QASHQAI recall Jun 2008NISSAN announced a problem with the QASHQAI affecting a total of 182 vehicles.

There is a possibility that a steering cover screw may not be sufficiently tight. This could lead to initially free play and noise in the steering which if not attended to eventually could result in the loss of steering control. Vehicles built from 6/25/2007 to 6/30/2007 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to inspect and where necessary replace the steering gear.
