AUDI TT & A3 (with direct shift 6 speed gearbox) Recall
Clutch may operate inadvertently with unexpected loss of drive.
AUDI announced a problem with the TT & A3 (with direct shift 6 speed gearbox) affecting a total of 1,454 vehicles.
In rare cases an incorrect interpretation of the clutch temperature can occur which results in the clutch opening unexpectedly with loss of drive. Vehicles built from 9/1/2008 to 8/31/2009 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall affected vehicles and update/reprogramme gearbox control unit.
