FORD TRANSIT Recall

Possible partial detachment of front suspension lower arm.

FORD TRANSIT recall Feb 2007FORD announced a problem with the TRANSIT affecting a total of 846 vehicles.

It has been identified that a number of vehicles have been produced with front suspension lower arm bolts which may have been tightened to an incorrect torque. In this condition, failure of a bolt may result in partial detachment of the arm from the subframe, which could adversely affect the steering and stability control. Vehicles built from 7/5/2006 to 7/12/2006 are at risk.

Recalled vehicles will have the subject bolts checked for correct torque, and tightened if necessary. Should any bolt be found to be damaged, it will be replaced.
