LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT Recall

Brake hose, abs and pad sensor leads may chafe on wheel balance weights

LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT recall Jun 2006LAND ROVER announced a problem with the RANGE ROVER SPORT affecting a total of 6,226 vehicles.

It is possible for the wheel balance weights to foul the left front brake hose and/or the ABS wheel speed sensor and/or the brake pad wear warning sensor. Vehicles built from 01/01/2005 to 02/13/2006 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to fit stick on wheel balance weights in place of the clamp on weights. A handbook supplement will also be produced stating the requirement for stick on weights.

Vehicles with the following identification numbers are affected:

SALLSAA546A900109 to SALLSAA546A949108
