MAN MANs fitted with axle variant VOK-03 or VOK-05 Recall
Steering may fail
MAN announced a problem with the MANs fitted with axle variant VOK-03 or VOK-05 affecting a total of 157 vehicles.
It has been identified that the bolts retaining the Pitman arm on trucks fitted with VOK-03 or VOK-5 axles may become loose, as a result of them being incorrectly tightened during production. If ignored, the potential exists for the steering to fail.
Recalled vehicles will have the subject bolts re-torqued or replaced. In cases of damage to the Pitman arm or steering knuckle, theses will also be replaced.
If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should
find your nearest MAN dealer
who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
