PEUGEOT announced a problem with the 308 affecting a total of 7,165 vehicles.
It has been identified that the welds which secure the bonnet locking assembly may prove inadequate in use. This can result in difficulty closing the bonnet, or failure of the lock to properly engage. Vehicles built from 9/10/2007 to 11/17/2007 are at risk.
Recalled vehicles will have a strengthening component fitted to the bonnet lining, to ensure that the trigger cable remains firmly secured to the bonnet. In very rare cases and only if necessary, the bonnet will be replaced.
If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should
find your nearest PEUGEOT dealer
who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
