DAIHATSU HIJET VAN AND PICK-UP Recall

Propshaft may detach

DAIHATSU HIJET VAN AND PICK-UP recall Nov 2007DAIHATSU announced a problem with the HIJET VAN AND PICK-UP affecting a total of 1,605 vehicles.

It has been identified that failure of the propshaft universal joint may occur, which can cause the propshaft to detach. On van versions, the propshaft may contact the fuel tank and or the fuel lines. Vehicles built from 6/1/1998 to 12/31/2004 are at risk.

Recalled vehicles will be fitted with a quality assured propshaft.
