Shatter cracks may occur on a vacuum pipe to brake servo
AUDI announced a problem with the A3 affecting a total of 21,335 vehicles.
Shatter cracks may occur on the vacuum pipe to the brake servo near the connections. If a vacuum pipe leaks a lot more force will be necessary to operate the brake pedal. Vehicles built from 08/01/1996 to 06/30/1999 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. The fitted vacuum pipes will be checked and replaced if necessary.
