BMW 7 SERIES Recall

Engine may cut out whilst the car is being driven

BMW 7 SERIES recall Jul 2002BMW announced a problem with the 7 SERIES affecting a total of 832 vehicles.

Due to an ECU software error within the electrical system, the fuel pump may operate at an insufficient speed once the fuel tank level has been reduced to less than 30 litres. Vehicles built from 01/02/2002 to 05/23/2002 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Likely to be affected vehicles will be recalled to have the ECU's reprogrammed with updated software.
