Shatter cracks may occur on vacuum pipe to brake servo

VW LT recall Jun 2003

VW announced a problem with the LT affecting a total of 2,821 vehicles.

Shatter cracks may occur on the vacuum pipe to the brake servo near the connections. If a vacuum pipe leaks a lot more force will be necessary to operate the brake pedal.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. The fitted vacuum pipes will be checked and replaced if necessary.
