Lack of protection to the wiring harness in the boot

HONDA ACCORD SALOON recall Nov 2004HONDA announced a problem with the ACCORD SALOON affecting a total of 16,685 vehicles.

It has been identified that, a wiring harness located in the boot is not adequately protected, and is therefore, susceptible to damage. Should damage occur, on e or more of the electrical functions fed by that harness may be rendered inoperative. Vehicles built from 10/02/2003 to 06/30/2004 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Likely to be affected vehicles will be recalled, at which time the subject wiring harness will be protected by the fitment of a corrugated tube.

If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should find your nearest HONDA dealer who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
