SCANIA BUS K series Recall |
Possible loss of steering control |
SCANIA BUS announced a problem with the K series affecting a total of 460 vehicles.
It has been identified that during production, the nuts on the track rods likewise the drag link end clamps may not have been tightened to the correct torque, resulting in insufficient clamping force on the joint. Under conditions of high steering load the track rod may detach, resulting in loss of steering control. Vehicles built from 11/1/2005 to 6/1/2008 are at risk.
Recalled vehicles will have the track rod end and drag link clamps checked and changed as necessary.
