ALFA ROMEO announced a problem with the Brera affecting a total of 51 vehicles.
A reflective heat shield may be incorrectly fitted or missing. This could lead to the servo pipe being damaged and the loss of brake servo assistance. Vehicles built from 6/1/2006 to 8/31/2006 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to ensure correct fitment of the reflective sheath.

who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
