VW announced a problem with the TOUAREG affecting a total of 1,534 vehicles.
It has been identified that on a number of Tourag vehicles, the rear seat belts may have been fitted with locks which have a revetting defect. Vehicles built from 10/01/2002 to 11/30/2003 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall likely to be affected vehicles and check the rear seat belt locks for compliance. Should they be found to be suffering from the defect, the locks will be changed.
Vehicles with the following identification numbers are affected:
WVG***7L*3D000001 to WVG***7L*3D015314 WVG***7L*4D000001 to WVG***7L*4D048017
