Unintentional deployment of air bags and/or seat belt pre-tensioners

RENAULT Kangoo recall Jan 2001RENAULT announced a problem with the Kangoo affecting a total of 14,046 vehicles.

A fault within the control unit may cause unintentional deployment of the front air bags and or seat belt pre-tensioners. Vehicles built from 12/23/1998 to 05/26/2000 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall affected vehicles and fit a quality assured control unit.
