MITSUBISHI announced a problem with the L200 Tonneau cover affecting a total of 6 vehicles.
It has been identified that, in some cases the metal rod which connects the 3 profile hinge is not correctly fixed at it's ends. In the worst case, the hinge may fail which can case the tonneau cover to detach from the vehicle. Vehicles built from 1/1/2007 to 2/28/2009 are at risk.
Recalled vehicles will have the tonneau cover hinges changed for ones with closed ends.
