VW announced a problem with the T5 affecting a total of 486 vehicles.
On a small number of 5 cylinder diesel engines the welding on a seal plug in the H piece between the fuel supply and return pipes has the potential to leak. In extreme unfavourable conditions this leaking fuel may lead to a vehicle fire. Vehicles built from 3/1/2008 to 4/30/2008 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall all affected vehicles to have the fuel pipe replaced with a quality assured component.
