CITROEN announced a problem with the C5 affecting a total of 957 vehicles.
It has been identified that due to the Non-Conformity of the handbrake adjustment system in the handbrake mechanism, it is possible that there can be a reduction in the efficiency of the parking brake. Vehicles built from 18/12/2009 to 17/3/2010 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall all affected vehicles for the replacement of the handbrake lever mechanism.

who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
