FORD announced a problem with the TRANSIT CONNECT affecting a total of 222 vehicles.
It has been identified due to incorrect heat treatment that the wheel nuts may become brittle and develop a crack in the conical washer. Vehicles built from 10/21/2006 to 11/3/2006 are at risk.
Recalled vehicles will have the wheel nuts replaced.
