KNORR BREMSE Optare Excel 2 and solo and Dennis Eagle Recall

Stoplights may stay on following brake release.

KNORR BREMSE announced a problem with the Optare Excel 2 and solo and Dennis Eagle affecting a total of 346 vehicles.

There have been instances where the stop lights on a number of the above models have been found to remain on following brake release. Investigation of the concern, has attributed the situation to a lack of grease during production of the SL4 stop lamp switch

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. To address the concern, affected vehicles will be re-worked by operators, under the terms of the Code of Practice, by the fitting of quality assured switches (2 per vehicle).
