FIAT DUCATO Recall

Possibility of reduced braking performance

FIAT announced a problem with the DUCATO affecting a total of 4,535 vehicles.

Due to the inlet filter for the EGR valve being in an exposed position, there is a possibility of water entering the brake servo vacuum pipe. This could result in the possibility of ice forming in the brake servo vacuum pipe in conditions of low ambient temperature. As a consequence, this may lead to reduced servo assistance to the braking system. Vehicles built from 7/1/2001 to 1/31/2005 are at risk.

Recalled vehicles will have the EGR solenoids checked for the presence of separate air filters. If theses are not evident, new solenoids with separate air filters will be fitted.

How to check your car's VIN number - vehicle identification number

If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should find your nearest FIAT dealer who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
