KIA SPORTAGE Recall

Possible loss of steering

KIA SPORTAGE recall Oct 2003KIA announced a problem with the SPORTAGE affecting a total of 1,230 vehicles.

There is a possibility that the steering intermediate shaft securing bolts may have been incorrectly torqued. Vehicles built from 11/01/2002 to 04/30/2003 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall affected vehicles and retorque securing bolts

If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should find your nearest KIA dealer who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
