SCANIA TRUCK announced a problem with the R Series affecting a total of 5 vehicles.
The screws used to secure the side skirt at the cylindrical silencer can lose torque, which could result in the side skirt becoming detached from the vehicle. Vehicles built from 10/1/2009 to 4/30/2010 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the fixings and tighten to a torque of 47Nm.
If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should
find your nearest SCANIA TRUCK dealer
