JAGUAR XF Vehicles Recall

Engine may cut out

JAGUAR XF Vehicles recall Oct 2009JAGUAR announced a problem with the XF Vehicles affecting a total of 3,940 vehicles.

It has been identified that, the in-tank electric fuel pump may not be correctly activated following a vehicle start up cycle. As a result, it is possible that the engine may cut out whilst driving at a steady state cruising speed and the engine may not be able to be instantly re-started. Vehicles built from 3/16/2009 to 7/24/2009 are at risk.

Recalled vehicles will be re-programmed with revised software to ensure that when the engine is running the in-tank fuel pump relay remains energised.
