CITROEN announced a problem with the C8 affecting a total of 502 vehicles.
A potential fault within the engine management system could cause an internal engine fuel leak via one or more of the injectors following engine switch off. The engine would then not restart, because of the excess fuel present in the inlet manifold or cylinders. Vehicles built from 04/25/2002 to 04/10/2003 are at risk.
Recalled vehicles will have the engine management unit software updated.
