SCANIA BUS K SERIES Recall |
Earthing / grounding cable connection may be ineffective. |
SCANIA BUS announced a problem with the K SERIES affecting a total of 149 vehicles.
It has been identified that, poor grounding between the engine, gearbox and chassis frame has been caused by the hole for the grounding screw being too large. As a result, the engine is being grounded via the steel braiding of the hydraulic hose to the gearbox oil cooler. Vehicles built from 2/8/2008 to 3/1/2008 are at risk.
Recalled vehicles will have an additional ground connection fitted.
