MERCEDES BENZ announced a problem with the McLaren SLR affecting a total of 75 vehicles.
The alternator wiring harness ducting, may foul adjacent components, with the result that under extreme conditions overheating may occur. Vehicles built from 01/01/2005 to 08/15/2006 are at risk.
Recalled vehicles will have the condition of the ducting checked, and the wiring re-routed.
