PORSCHE announced a problem with the 911 CARRERA S (997) affecting a total of 2,566 vehicles.
The welded seams on the exhaust tailpipe may fail. This can cause rattling noises while driving and can result in the loss of the exhaust tailpipe if the driver continues to drive the vehicle.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the exhaust tailpipes with modified units.
If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should
find your nearest PORSCHE dealer
who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
