JEEP CHEROKEE Recall

Possible loss of servo assistance

JEEP CHEROKEE recall Nov 2002JEEP announced a problem with the CHEROKEE affecting a total of 7,143 vehicles.

The steel vacuum tube that supplies vacuum to the brake booster may crack, resulting in loss of servo assistance. This will result in increased pedal power to stop the vehicle.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall vehicles and replace the steel vacuum tube with a flexible vacuum hose.

If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should find your nearest JEEP dealer who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
