VW GOLF and BORA Recall

Brake servo vacuum pipe may crack and leak.

VW GOLF and BORA recall Mar 2003VW announced a problem with the GOLF and BORA affecting a total of 69,541 vehicles.

The brake servo vacuum supply pipe may crack and leak. This could result in a loss of power assistance and require the driver to apply a lot more force to the brake pedal. Vehicles built from 02/01/1998 to 12/31/1999 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Examine the condition of the vacuum supply pipe and fit an improved quality replacement where necessary.
