SCANIA TRUCK R SERIES Recall |
Possibility that the steering wheel position may loosen |
SCANIA TRUCK announced a problem with the R SERIES affecting a total of 114 vehicles.
It is possible that the gear segment that holds the steering wheel in its set position can break. This will result in the steering wheel position suddenly working loose. Directional control is still possible, however the unexpected nature of the concern raises a potential risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the affected vehicles and replace the upper, lower gears and associated screws with quality assured items. |
