KIA SORENTO Recall

Curtain airbags may deploy incorrectly
KIA SORENTO recall May 2007KIA announced a problem with the SORENTO affecting a total of 1,864 vehicles.

It has been identified that, some of the wires to the airbag control unit are not in the correct order. In consequence, an incorrect side curtain airbag could deploy in the event of a collision. Vehicles built from 5/4/2006 to 3/28/2007 are at risk.

Recalled vehicles will have the pins on the connector to the control unit refitted in the correct order.

If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should find your nearest KIA dealer who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
