Brake vacuum hose concern

CHRYSLER Neon recall Apr 2002CHRYSLER announced a problem with the Neon affecting a total of 6,707 vehicles.

The brake booster vacuum hose may swell and leak due to oil contamination. This could lead to loss of power brake assist and an increase in engine idle speed. This may increase the stopping distance. Vehicles built from 01/01/2000 to 12/31/2001 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the affected vehicles and replace the brake booster vacuum hose.
