JAGUAR X-type Recall

YAW rate sensor has internally delaminated

JAGUAR X-type recall Oct 2004JAGUAR announced a problem with the X-type affecting a total of 41 vehicles.

X-TYPE vehicles equipped with a dynamic stability control may have been fitted with a yaw rate sensor that has internally delaminated, this could result in actuation of the control system incorrectly, resulting in uneven and unexpected application of the brakes. Vehicles built from 02/19/2004 to 03/10/2004 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Likely to be affected vehicles will be recalled, and an inspection of the yaw rate sensor will be undertaken.
