FORD announced a problem with the EXPLORER affecting a total of 3,011 vehicles.
Driver's side seat upper recliner to seat back frame attachment bolt may fracture, forcing seat to fully recline unexpectedly. Vehicles built from 01/01/1998 to 12/31/2002 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall affected vehicles and fit new design spacer and bolt.

who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
