MERCEDES BENZ BUS announced a problem with the Sprinter affecting a total of 1 vehicles.
It has been identified that as a result of a cracked piston, engine damage can occur, whereby oil is ejected into the engine bay and may ignite after coming into contact with hot engine components.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected, to reprogramme the engine control unit.
