Modification of handbrake lever

FORD MONDEO recall Aug 2003FORD announced a problem with the MONDEO affecting a total of 72,682 vehicles.

The handbrake may not hold the vehicle stationary when parked if it is not applied as directed in the owner literature.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Fit a revised handbrake assembly with an improved leverage ratio.

If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should find your nearest FORD dealer who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
