TOYOTA Yaris Recall

Body trim may cause injury

TOYOTA Yaris recall Sep 2011TOYOTA announced a problem with the Yaris affecting a total of 10,587 vehicles.

Due to the improper installation of the left A-pillar trim there ia a possibility that the trim may become detached when the curtain shield airbag would deploy during a crash. If this happens, the loose garnish could injure the LH seat occupant of the vehicle. Vehicles built from 04/12/2010 to 01/04/2011 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Inspection of the installation and repair if needed.
