BMW Mini Mini One, Mini Cooper Recall

Front suspension lower arm may detach

BMW Mini Mini One, Mini Cooper recall Mar 2002BMW Mini announced a problem with the Mini One, Mini Cooper affecting a total of 822 vehicles.

There is a possibility that under extreme conditions, the lower front suspension arm mounting bolts may become loose and the arm may detach. Vehicles built from 09/01/2000 to 06/05/2001 are at risk.

The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Recall affected vehicles and replace front axle support with modified type and longer suspension lower arm bolts.

If you think that your vehicle may be affected by this recall you should find your nearest BMW Mini dealer who will be able to confirm whether or not your car is safe and arrange its free repair if necessary.
