AUDI announced a problem with the A6 affecting a total of 56 vehicles.
Brake pedal brackets having a casting fault may have been installed. The bracket may crack and, in the worst case, seriously impair the brake performance. Vehicles built from 11/21/2001 to 11/26/2001 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Fit quality assured replacement brake pedal brackets.
